Herbert Francis Sharpe

Herbert Francis Sharpe was born in Halifax (Yorkshire), England, March 1, 1861.

His studies were conducted at the National Training School, London.

After a series of public appearances as a pianist, he became a professor in the Royal College of Music in 1884 and an examiner in 1890.

He wrote (with Stanley Lucas) a “Pianoforte School”, and composed much piano music.
